Exciting permaculture project to transform one hectare of our own beyond permaculture property of neglected, overgrown forest into a vibrant, sustainable food forest. Your support will help us clear the land and plant a diverse array of fruit trees, nuts, and perennial vegetables, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem that will provide food and habitat for years to come.


What we are doing :

  • Clear one hectare of overgrown forest at the top of our permaculture center.
  • Plant a diverse selection of 253 trees and plants to create a thriving food forest.
  • Establish a model for sustainable land use and food production.


Budget Breakdown:

  • Land Clearing: $1,635
  • Trees and Plants: $3,090

(includes above and the hedges of the 5 hectare property )


Total Project Cost: $4,725


Timeline:

Project Start: September 30, 2024

Land Clearing: September 30 - November 14

Plant Delivery: Starting November 15

Planting: November 15 onwards


Community Engagement:

Employing a local team of 5 people for clearing and planting

Inviting local school children to witness the transformation and participate in planting

Other and Future Plans: We are in the process of registering as a non-profit organization after the national elections in November. and we have a lot of programs about to be published around the work above.
